The objectives or goals of the South Metro Drug Task Force will be:

  • Decrease the availability of illegal drugs in the areas served by the task force.
  • Provide a deterrent to trafficking and drugs by increasing the risk of detection, apprehension, prosecution and conviction.
  • To decrease the profitability of drug trafficking through seizing and forfeiting illegally obtained assets through drug trafficking.
  • Assist with the educational efforts of participating agency personnel, school systems and other facets of the community served by participating agencies.
  • To coordinate and cooperate with other local, state and federal agencies to help reduce drug availability on a state, multi-state and national level.
